NEW LEAK: Android 5.0 KLP, NEW SETTINGS UI

JUST TODAY I received an email at (admin@xda-blog.info) the XDA RC Blog email address and I was taken aback at what it contained.
It seems, this so-called user called “Anon G.” has received images of the new settings UI to be released with Android 5.0, Key Lime Pie.
From what I can see, the UI is similar to Google Now and it’s card view/ Roboto Light UI and typography.

These are the two screenshots which were attached to AnonG’s email;

It is also to my belief that the time on the clock, 5:00 signifies Android 5.0.

Game: Real Trucker LM 3D

Speed. Long loads. Motorways (Autobahns, Autoroutes etc.). Fences to crash into ‘by mistake’. They’re all in Real Trucker LM 3D

It’s the closest you’ll get to a PC trucking simulator, or even real life!

The Game

You start with 5000 monies (after you have bought a truck), are transported to Turkey and drive around between Istanbul, Polatli, and Edirne, delivering loads of fuel, food, logs or whatever the people want. You start with the lowest truck, averaging about 100km/h without a load and about 80km/h with and work your way up to one that does 120km/h without and about 5km/h less with a load. Progress is slow (though it’s easy to cheat, simple file editing does the job), and you even have to pay for fuel! When you get your task, you actually have to reverse around to get your load, and then when you get to your destination, you have to stop, and uncouple (much easier to stop).

There are a few camera angles too, including a in-cab view for proper driving, which uses a rear view mirror when reversing and a back-of-cab view, for when reversing to get your load.

Pros

The game is well rendered, with roads and 3D buildings, bridges and tunnels, and even a major suspension bridge.

Fairly realistic. You have to couple and park your trailer and stop for fuel, but you don’t have to pay for damage or such like.

Free! Nothing in the game costs any money at all, not even any in app purchases (which to be honest would be quite nice)

It’s a big world, you can drive around for quite a while collecting and delivering

Game effects like headlights, tire tracks and exhaust smoke

Cons

There’s a few glitches, which can be expected, and I don’t think your cab would spin around 3 times clearly when hitting a small wooden fence

Controls take a while to get used to. There’s no accelerometer steering, which would be a put-off for many people, but you can and will get used to the controls

For some unknown reason, the major “motorway” doesn’t do a complete ring, but stops at two junctions in the middle of nowhere. Maybe there could be at least a secondary route added with a small bridge or tunnel from Edirne to the pointless location below it on the map?

Galaxy S IV Rumors

The Galaxy S III is, without a doubt, one of the best devices in the fast-paced world of Android phones. If you don’t believe me, just take it from Samsung’s sales figures. 30 million Galaxy S III’s had been sold worldwide since November, and an even more astonishing 40 million units had been sold worldwide as of January.

With the anticipated revealing of Galaxy S IV on, March 13th, at Samsung’s UNPACKED event in New York City, there bundles a slew of rumors to go with it. Samsung has even gone so far to reveal what is assumed to be a teaser image (shown above) of the new device.

Down to specifications: Once again, the S IV, like the S III, is rumored to feature two models; one for the LTE-hungry US markets, and an international model. The international model is rumored to feature Samsung’s powerhouse Exynos 5 octa-core processor that the company has proudly revealed previously, while the US variant is expected to receive the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, a more-than-respectable quad core beast.

Both devices are expected to receive a similar, if not identical design. As with previous Galaxy S models, the device will undoubtedly feature some variant of Samsung’s Super AMOLED screen technology. The screen is expected to be full-HD, 1080×1920 resolution, and be no more than 5” in size. Models with 16, 32, and 64 GB of storage are also rumored and all are expected to feature an expandable microSD slot for even more capacity.

The cameras are reported to be new in the new device, drifting from Samsung’s 8 MP sensor from the past two generations of Galaxy S phones to introduce a brand new 13 MP camera in the rear as well as a 2.1 MP camera in the front for all of those incredibly important video conversations you have on your phone.

One of the major features that Samsung has filed patents for are touchless gestures, including, but not limited to Eye Scroll, which is exactly what it sounds like. Eye scroll uses the devices hardware and sensors to track the movement of your eyes on the screen. As your eyes follow the screen downwards while reading, say, your favorite XDA blog, the sensors pick up the movement of your eyes and automatically scroll the page for you, allowing you to continue reading without having to touch your precious, fingerprint-free screen that many of us are guilty of wiping clean religiously.

Rumors aside, UNPACKED is right around the corner for this highly anticipated device. Who knows what else Samsung has in store for us, but you can bet your top dollar that it is going to keep millions of the gadget-obsessed enamored for months to come.

Switching from iOS to Android: Alternative apps

So, you’re switching from iOS to Android?

You’re just in the shoes of my good friend Joshua, who is currently stuck between an iPhone and the Nexus 4. I think this might help people along by giving them an incite to what iOS has by default that Android doesn’t by stock (or does but Google requires you to download it)

So here we go…
